Aniko Dobi-Rozsa

Since 2005, Aniko has been working for Global Environmental and Social Business (GESB), a socially and environmentally aware project and business development company as managing and finance director. The company is a private company specialized in financing energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Aniko has developed the Social Housing Energy Efficiency Renovation Programme (SHEER) to support middle and middle-low income borrowers to have access to affordable financing to be able to finance energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. She has worked with more than 7,000 families to provide support in implementation of retrofit projects.

Between 1998 and 2005 Aniko worked for the World Bank Group, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) as the country manager of the Hungary Energy Efficiency Co-financing Program, has been designed to encourage financial intermediaries (FIs) to finance energy efficiency and renewable energy projects with high environmental and social benefits in the housing, micro, small and medium size and medium-large industrial renewable energy sectors. She has been involved in developing finance mechanisms to support more than 50,000 home retrofit projects.

Currently she is working on developing revolving retrofit loan guarantee funds in two regions in the UK and with the Whitehill Bordon Eco Town to develop sustainable finance mechanisms.
